Linoleum flooring is a floor that is usually made from renewable materials like solidified linseed oil, pine rosin, ground cork dust, wood flour, and mineral fillers such as calcium carbonate.

Over time, if you pick changing things up somewhat by laying tile over your overall linoleum flooring, it is always far better to first get rid of the linoleum and as much glue that you can from your floor. Take notice that linoleum isn’t a good substrate for tiles.
